Thank you, Rose, at Imagine the Possibilities for gathering poetry for our Friday round-up this week.
I walked into this week with no planned poem. I thought I'd take a crack at an etheree. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. This one is OK. I'll practice some more before we reach March 31.
There's a new little haiku on the padlet: https://padlet.com/mitchellhubeimom/word-bwfgg0bqmjhf62fd/wish/2529604439
Linda, sweet etheree. I like "blink-blinking" and "buckets of all kinds of rain." Flawless spring, yes.
ReplyDeleteYour etheree is a great directive to follow for a 'flawless spring', Linda. I love the 'slight tilt of the earth' at this time of the year - though I have to say, my view of the world is always a bit tilted. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think you did a fine job and the blink blinking faces at the end are not unlike the previous daffodils.
ReplyDeleteLinda, it would be interesting if we had a flawless spring. Is the weather trying to play tricks on us? 81 yesterday, today is rainy and much, much cooler. ("buckets of all kinds of rain"). I enjoy reading your padlet whenever I can. Your haiku about tiny flowers is lovely, LUCKY is fun, and Words of Other Poets is a surprise. Thanks for carrying my words and my friends into a poem for your padlet. I will certainly pause to refresh myself and mind today.
ReplyDeleteIf only there were a foolproof recipe for a flawless spring like the one you describe! Love "forsythia gold galore"
ReplyDeleteI love that last line. Blinking to reset our eyesight for the bright light.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, that's beautiful! "slight tilt of the earth" is my favorite line-- I thing because it makes me feel like I'm leaning forward in anticipation... not unlike the feeling of waiting for seeds for sprout!
ReplyDeleteNice job!! Those winter faces emerging made me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm echoing Jama, love the "blink-blinking winter faces"! Also, we'd love to have some buckets of rain!
ReplyDeleteI like your etheree recipe... the "slight tilt" is my favorite also. I think the etheree form is perfect for recipes. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love this one, especially from "buckets" onwards--so much abundance! I'm gearing up for the etheree too, which is just one decimal up from nonet, right? Better get counting!
ReplyDeleteI love the WORD choice in your title! (And your padlet haiku is spot on!)
ReplyDeleteOhh I love "wide runs of crocus." I'm so ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteWell, I think the etheree came out really well, Linda... love those emerging winter faces. I imagine they are squinting :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Marcie, smitten with those "wide runs..." - Nice, Linda! Happy Spring. :0)
