Exquisite Corpse with Michelle Kogan

Hello Friday!

The talented and busy teacher lady, Michelle Kogan, asked if I'd swap lines for an exquisite corpse poem inspired by some of the clunkers I shared several weeks ago.

Sure! I said...I'm a busy teacher lady too. Let's see what we can do with a tiny bit of time and ingenuity.

I promised Michelle I'd grab some art to illustrate this post--it's not quite a perfect match for this poem. But, I find butterfly and collage people super fun to make.

The word on today's padlet is AUGUST!

Thank you to the immensely kind and talented Linda Baie at Teacher Dance for hosting this week's round-up!

  3. Oh, WOW, Michelle and Linda, what a lovely piece you have created here. The best part for me is the process you used. So sweet! Such collaboration for two busy teacher ladies. Oh, and I love that last couplet too. Beautiful.

  4. I love all the collaged art pieces you created Linda, especially the butterfly people, so fanciful. Thanks for sharing our process, and again for our jaunt together—it all makes me smile!

  5. I always love seeing your collages, Linda, wonderful images to view & the poem by you & Michelle turned out perfect for us today, sad to write. I do love the hopeful line at the end, "we'll come around again someday; you'll see." Sadly, we had about five air quality alerts this past week! Have a restful weekend. I know it's been a busy week!

  6. What a fun process you two used, starting with words/phrases, then moving to lines. I love the echo of your "gypsy wagon wheels" with not being able to "foretell what our future holds." There's hope in your ending, in that coming around again. Well played!

  12. Linda, your collage art is taking on a life of its own with energy and brilliant hues. These are very impressive as is the word game you and Michelle engaged in. I would love to spend time with you and collage to write. Let me know if you have any time in between your busy teacher Mom life. Your padlet is impressive too. August is full of deep thoughts and the poem next to it is wonderful also.
