  5. Cinquain celebration works its wonders, Linda. A climatically different Christmas here in Australia, but the joy and the coming together as a family is sometihng universal.

  7. This week I attended Leo’s first grade program and heard all those little ones singing loud and proud. Like the angels of your sweet poem. Then they ran like wild around the playground!

  8. I'm laughing at Margaret's comment -- temporary angels! I bet you're the one singing now that the angels are someone else's for a couple of weeks!

  10. Thank you for the kindness of this post (and the kindness of Linda, always), and for your lovely cinquain.

The angel ornament in your photo reminds me of one given to me years ago, when I worked in a school for kids with disabilities. A coworker named Gloria (who felt like a substitute grandmother to me) gave me a lovely, handmade angel. It got damaged a few years later, so I don't have it anymore, but thanks for reminding me of Gloria's angelic kindness!

  11. I love your cinquain. The sound of children singing really does like the darkness. My church did a lessons and carols last Sunday. The adult voices were beautiful, but there was something about the young children when they That just had me in tears. Wishing you a happy holiday and a wonderful new year. Merry Christmas!

  12. Linda, your little poem reminds me of the different angels on my tree and the real ones coming to my house on Christmas. May your holiday be filled with laughter and joy with your family.
