This is it, friends...the last weekend of summer.
Ooooh, it's been a good one. I'm sorry to see it go. The promise of pumpkin spice and apple pie keeps me from being too sad.

One of my summer favorites is the summer poetry swap hosted by Tabatha. I love making things with other poets in mind and receiving fun goodies delivered by snail mail. As part of my farewell and thanks to the season of summer, I'm saying thank you, poet friends as well.

ReplyDeleteLinda, thank you so much for the sweet poem of gratitude. That second stanza with "careful wrapping" is a thought I hadn't really considered until reading it in your poem. So true because snail mail is a sweet gift that requires an extra effort. Thanks for the poem, as well as the fun and experience of poetry swapping with you.

I'll be taking a barefoot step for me and trying to remember that here in the midAtlantic we can pretend it's summer until Halloween!
