Hello Poets,
I have a loved one near and dear to my heart that frequently says, 'It's a lovely day in May.' And, they are right about these few wonderful weeks of spring. I hope you're having a lovely day today...this May.
I have just a couple of little cutie haiku to share:

I also have a new triolet on the padlet...Oh, it's fun to see poems pile up. I feel like I'm not accomplishing much writing these days. But, piled up poems helps me feel better! You?

ReplyDeleteI'm going to sing May this month, too! I was just telling some friends that yesterday had to have been in the top ten days of the year so far. So pretty and not too hot.

ReplyDeleteRandom, but I was looking at old quotes today for something else, and these words reminded me of said triolet:
How often might a man, after he had jumbled a set of letters in a bag, fling them out upon the ground before they would fall into an exact poem, -- yea, or so much as make a good discourse in prose? .... Tillotson
May has been an odd month for me. When I taught college - I loved it - the end of the semester with a brief break before summer. But when I had kids, May seemed too busy. Now, that my husband and i are empty nesters, I am finally beginning to enjoy all may has to offer! Love your haiku - especially, the first one! It's so cheerful!

Oh, to be young again. I don't feel I appreciated youth as I should have. Our May is heating up quickly to summer. Thanks for your hopeful haiku.

ReplyDeleteLinda, I am sorry that I am so late in responding. I am glad that you shared Jerome Davis' photography. I have followed him but forgot how beautiful his work is. "sunny side up" is so sweet a term to describe a daisy.
